We were recently able to spend a couple of weeks in Portland and enjoyed visiting many of the local attractions. The kids loved going to the zoo with their grandma and uncle.
One of our favorite things was feeding the Lorakeets.
The kids loved that they would land right on our hands and let us feed them.

We went to the zoo a second time with Papa and Grandma Lue. This time our favorite thing was seeing the trainer working with the elephants.
We celebrated Kassi's birthday while we were there and
as per tradition, grandma decorated the birthday cake.
Kassi had a great birthday and loved celebrating it with family (and a couple of dogs).
The kids loved Adam and Elena's dogs and the dogs loved them right back.
One evening while we were out walking, Bri dared Kara to run through the fountain. She did not make it all the way through, but made it far enough to get soaking wet. 
Kassi did not even want to get close to the fountain and as a result, she wisely stayed dry.
Korbin loved being allowed to play in water while he was still dressed in his clothes.
